Yoga is the science of Self realization - remembering who we are - and it starts with a healthy body and mind. Tarynn's intention in teaching Yoga is to transmit this science as true to Source as possible, while bringing it to light for our modern daily lives. The physical practice of Yoga asanas and pranayama (breathing exercises) are meant to cleanse the physical and mental body and balance the personal energy fields to bring us in to a state of harmony in the here and now... which is where we find spirit. From this harmonious state the adventure of Self Realization can truly begin. The rewards of such an undertaking are ease, personal freedom and empowerment.
Tarynn can offer this beautiful outdoor session at her home just above the Okanagan Rail Trail overlooking Wood Lake from a secluded deck perch, when weather allows from May 1 - September 18.

Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga
Needs: yoga mat, water, unbinding stretchy clothing *Optional: blanket
Of Tarynn's 3 classes available, Ashtanga Yoga is the most active and invigorating of the practices. This methodology roots back to the foundation of Yoga as prescribed by Sri Patanjali. Expect to warm up and maintain a constant connection with your breath.
Yin Restorative Yoga
Needs: yoga mat, water, unbinding stretchy clothing, blanket
This method is based on the meridian system of Traditional Chinese Medicine. As the postures are long-held, they are meant to open the deeper connective tissues of the body, such as the tendons, fascia and ligaments, while also promoting ease and a stress reduced approach to allow the body to release subconscious and/or long held negative patterns, injuries or traumas hidden in the body.
Yoga / Meditation
Needs: yoga mat, water, unbinding stretchy clothing, meditation cushion or blanket
Tarynn combines 40 minutes of Yoga with 30 minutes of meditation. This 75 minute class is a great template for a daily life practice in a busy world. The Yoga asanas are from Ashtanga Yoga, and the meditation is an active practice which includes breath work and visualizations to help balance your energy fields.
